CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. — Partner Community Capital (PCAP) has been awarded a $362,000 grant from the USDA Farmer’s Market Promotion Program (FMPP) to support West Virginia farmers, food entrepreneurs, and local market development efforts across the region.
The funding, awarded through the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Agricultural Marketing Service, will allow PCAP to expand educational programming, provide technical assistance, and increase access to training opportunities designed to strengthen local food systems and connect producers with new market opportunities.
Through the grant, PCAP will host a series of virtual and in-person trainings focused on topics including farmers’ market development, marketing strategies, business growth, and entrepreneurship within the local food economy. The initiative will also support the creation of educational resources and storytelling content, highlighting the experiences and successes of regional farmers and food-based businesses.
