Summary

Up to $25,000 in Relief Grants Now Available for Small Businesses with Support from Dogwood Health Trust.

Asheville, N.C. – Partner Community Capital (PCAP) is proud to announce the launch of the Western North Carolina Small Business Initiative, an effort led by Appalachian Community Capital and funded by a $10 million lead grant from Dogwood Health Trust. This initiative is set to provide grants of up to $25,000 to small businesses throughout Western North Carolina that suffered physical damage from Hurricane Helene, supporting them in recovery and resilience-building.

Eligible businesses for the initiative include for-profit enterprises located within DHT’s 18-county region, operational for at least one year, and with gross revenues of under $1 million for 2023. The initiative aims to help some of the smallest and most vulnerable businesses in the area recover quickly, fostering economic stability for the broader community.

“Small businesses are at the heart of Western North Carolina’s economy, and we’re dedicated to supporting their recovery,” said Marten Jenkins, President & CEO of Partner Community Capital. “Through this collaboration, we’re able to extend the critical resources and funding that local businesses need to rebuild after Hurricane Helene’s impact.”

Applications for these relief grants are now open, with a submission deadline of November 27, 2024, at 11:59 PM. For more information about eligibility, application requirements, and how to apply, click here.
