EmpowerHer: Raising Rural Communities through Women Entrepreneurs is a program aimed at boosting entrepreneurs in some of the most rural parts of West Virginia. This project focuses on a nine-county region in coal-impacted southern and central parts of the state.

Are you a woman entrepreneur based in one of the following counties: Boone, Calhoun, Clay, Lincoln, McDowell, Mingo, Roane, Wirt, or Wyoming? Are you having growing pains, launch pains, or first-year challenges? You don’t need to go it alone! We’re actively seeking participants to join this program!

An initiative of the Partner Community Capital (PCAP) Women’s Business Center (WBC), EmpowerHer is designed to help you start, scale, and succeed.

WHAT DOES EMPOWERHER OFFER?

Through EmpowerHer, women entrepreneurs and women-owned businesses will receive:

• Personalized Business Support: Participants will receive individualized technical assistance and consulting services, including business planning, training, financial management, access to capital, and more!
• Team-Based Approach: The WBC will create custom consulting teams for participants by combining in-house resources with support from local nonprofit providers and experts in legal, accounting, marketing, and other specialized fields as needed. These teams will focus on helping women and minority-owned businesses overcome challenges, seize opportunities, and strengthen their overall health based on their unique needs.
• Long-Term Support (6-12 months): Business growth takes time. This program ensures you get consistent, personalized support for 6-12 months to meet your business’s changing needs.
